Stewarding at Spectator Events

The qualification will cover things like:

  • Preparing for spectator events
  • Responding to injuries and emergencies
  • Controlling the entry, exit and movement of spectators
  • Monitoring crowds.

You will learn in a group with your training provider. Assessment will take place through multiple-choice questions in the form of a short examination.

This qualification provides the background knowledge you need for the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety (QCF), making this the natural choice for a follow-up qualification. Or, you may prefer to follow this qualification with one of the following:

  • Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning (QCF)
  • Level 3 NVQ in Leisure Management.

The Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events can form part of the Apprenticeship in Spectator Safety.
