AAT Level 1 In Bookkeeping


What it covers?

This Level 1 qualification introduces the role of a bookkeeper as well as the fundamental information needed to recognise and perform basic bookkeeping tasks, such as tracking revenue and expenses, profits and losses, and assets and liabilities.


Additionally, it provides an overview of the job and the advantages and disadvantages of bookkeeping software.

How Long Does It Take?


The qualification usually takes around 3-6 months to complete, but this will depend on the learner's current ability and timetable.


Entry Requirements:


Students are not required to have any qualifications before starting the course. However, a good grasp of English & Maths is recommended for the best chance of success. If you struggle with either of subjects, consider taking our Functional Maths & Functional English courses. If you already have experience with Accounting consider taking some of our other AAT Accounting Courses.
